๐Ÿš€ New Caching Architecture โ€” Core Feeds Now Powered by Cloudflare's Global Network | 4/10

We've redesigned how Pickful loads pages โ€” feeds are CDN-cached across Cloudflare's 300+ city network, with personal data loaded dynamically.

Hey Pickful community,

Today weโ€™re shipping a major architectural upgrade that fundamentally changes how Pickful loads pages.

A new caching model

Previously, every page visit required the server to generate a personalized response for each user โ€” query, assemble, render, send. Weโ€™ve redesigned this from the ground up: pages are now cached and served by Cloudflareโ€™s global network, while your personal data (likes, bookmarks, notifications) is loaded dynamically after the page arrives.

This means wherever you are, your page is served from the nearest Cloudflare node โ€” a network spanning 300+ cities worldwide. Your personal state is restored client-side in milliseconds, with no perceptible difference in the experience.

Whatโ€™s covered in this release

We started with the highest-traffic, most experience-critical surfaces: the Home feed, Explore, and Latest post lists โ€” the core paths nearly every user passes through on every visit.

This is just the beginning. Weโ€™ll be rolling the new caching model out to more features in the coming weeks.

Weโ€™d love to hear from you

If you notice pages loading faster โ€” or run into anything unexpected โ€” drop your feedback in the server experience testing topic. Your input helps us tune the new system.

Live on Web, iOS, and Android โ€” no app update needed.
