Topic Bounty User Guide
Set up a USDC bounty pool for any topic to reward quality content creators. Rewards are auto-distributed by like share, settled on-chain.
What is Topic Bounty?
Topic Bounty is Pickful's content incentive feature. Any user can create a USDC bounty pool for a topic to reward authors who publish quality content. Rewards are automatically distributed based on the proportion of likes each author's posts receive — more likes, bigger reward.
As a Sponsor: Creating a Bounty Pool
Step 1: Start a Bounty
- Go to the Topics page and enter the topic you want to sponsor
- Click the "Create Bounty Pool" button
- Fill in the details:
- Amount: Minimum 5 USDC
- Deadline: At least 1 hour from now
- Submit
Step 2: Pay
After submitting, you'll be redirected to a payment page. Complete the USDC on-chain payment via your wallet (MetaMask, OKX Wallet, etc.). Once paid, the bounty pool status changes to "Active".
💡 You can cancel if you're not ready to pay. Unpaid bounty pools are automatically cancelled after the deadline.
Step 3: Wait for Deadline
While the bounty pool is active, the topic page displays bounty information including:
- Total bounty amount
- Deadline and time remaining
- Live estimated reward distribution (updates in real time)
After the deadline, the system automatically distributes rewards.
As an Author: Earning Bounties
How to Participate
Simply post in a topic that has an active bounty pool and earn likes. No extra steps needed.
Reward Calculation
- Rewards are distributed based on like share
- All likes across an author's posts in the topic are aggregated
- Example: If the topic has 1,000 total likes and your posts received 300, you get 30% of the bounty pool
Claiming Rewards
- Wallet address set: Rewards are automatically sent to your wallet via on-chain transfer — no action needed
- No wallet address: Rewards are marked as "Claimable". Go to Settings → Profile to add your wallet address, and the system will automatically process the payout
Viewing My Bounty Rewards
Go to the "My Bounties" page from your profile menu to view:
- Total Earned: Cumulative bounty earnings
- Total Paid: Amount already received
- Claimable: Amount waiting for you to set up a wallet
- Active Bounties: Current bounty pools you're participating in with estimated earnings
- Past Rewards: All settled bounty records with on-chain transaction links

FAQ
Q: How soon after the deadline will I receive my reward? A: The system checks for expired bounty pools every few minutes. After distribution, on-chain transfers are initiated automatically and typically arrive within minutes.
Q: What if no one posts or no posts receive likes by the deadline? A: The bounty pool is marked as "Refunded".
Q: Can a topic have multiple bounty pools? A: Yes. Different users can sponsor the same topic, and each bounty pool is calculated independently. A single user can only have one unpaid bounty pool at a time.
Q: Which chain does the bounty pool use? A: All payments and transfers are on the Base chain using USDC.
Q: What wallet do I need? A: Any EVM wallet that supports the Base chain, such as MetaMask, OKX Wallet, or TokenPocket.
